2021 Nissan Leaf EV Will Arrive in Nepal
This year, the Nissan Leaf electric vehicle will make its debut in Nepal. On June 17, Nissan announced the news on its official Facebook page. Pioneer Moto Corp Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of Nissan vehicles in Nepal, had previously postponed the launch of the Leaf due to an increase in excise duty on electric vehicles; however, the company is now planning to launch the Leaf in light of recent changes related to the reduction in excise duty on EVs. The Nissan Leaf is an excellent vehicle. This EV provides a lively and comfortable driving experience, as well as a wide range of standard safety features and a convenient infotainment system.
The 2021 Nissan Leaf includes a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor with 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque as standard. This configuration has a range of 149 miles. The Plus model adds a 62-kWh battery and a motor with 214 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. The SV Plus and SL Plus have a range of 215 miles, while the S Plus has a range of 226 miles. Recharging the standard Leaf takes 8 hours with a Level 2 charger (240V). You can recoup 80 percent of the charge in 40 minutes at DC fast-charging public stations. With a Level 2 charger, the Leaf Plus takes 11.5 hours to recharge, and with DC fast charging, you can recover 80 percent of the charge in 45 minutes with a 50-kW charger or 60 minutes with a 100-kW unit.
The NHTSA awarded the 2021 Nissan Leaf a five-star overall safety rating. This rating is made up of four stars in the front crash test and rollover test, and five stars in the side crash test. Although the IIHS has not released a complete set of ratings for the Leaf, the 2020 model received Good ratings in the moderate overlap front, side, and head restraint and seat tests. Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist are all standard safety features.
Nissan offers semi-autonomous driving technology on the Leaf, though it is not as advanced as Tesla's system. This technology, known as ProPilot Assist, assists highway driving by providing automatic steering, acceleration, and braking inputs. It occasionally wants to veer to the left side of a given lane, but we found that this feature reduces the stress of driving in traffic. The Leaf includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen as standard.
The Nissan Leaf has 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. With the seats removed, this expands to 30 cubic feet. In comparison, the Chevrolet Bolt has 16.9 cubic feet of space behind the seats and 56.6 cubic feet when the seats are folded. Rear-seat passengers have 33.5 inches of legroom, compared to 36.5 inches in the Bolt. The Nissan Leaf has a seating capacity of five people.
