As of November 2021, Tata Motors has seen a tremendous increase in EV sales in India. Tata Tigor EV and Tata Nexon EV  are the company's current electric vehicles. While the percentage of each of these two cars in monthly sales has not been disclosed, the two EVs combined sold 1,751 units, up from a meager 413 in November of 2020, more than four times the quantity sold. Tata Motors announced on Wednesday that it sold a total of 29,778 passenger vehicles in India in November, up 38% from the same month in 2020, of which EV covered the 5.88%.Tata Motors tested the Tigor EV for private consumers earlier this year. This is the company's second all-electric product, following the successful Nexon EV, which has a stronghold on the niche electric PV market. The Nexon EV, which was introduced earlier this year, starts at NRS. 36,99,000* and up depending on the variant whereas the Tigor EV is yet to arrive in Nepal. Both EVs offer a reasonable range of over 300 kms.

In both Nepal and India, the influence of growing EV awareness, rising fossil fuel prices, and improvements in EV charging stations may be directly connected to greater adoption of lithium ion cars. Ironically, because most EV companies cater to the premium category or price a premium for zero-emission vehicles, the overwhelming majority of consumers from middle-class households might be excluded from the EV revolution. While metropolitan and larger cities have a high level of awareness, rural communities have significantly lower trust in electric vehicles. One of the two primary factors would be inadequate infrastructure. In comparison to the number of gasoline stations scattered around the country, the number of charging stations is much insufficient.
